Shopping

Epidavros is a essentially small agricultural and fishing community, but it is possible to buy most of the things you are likely to need locally. A visit to Nafplion provides a much wider choice!

Trofo supermarket is the largest local supermarket. It is situated out of the village on the road to Kranidi. Trofo is worth a visit just to enjoy the spectacular sea view from the car park.

The village has several small supermarkets, as well as bakeries, butchers, a pharmacy, post office, newsagent, barbers, bike hire (cycles and mopeds), clothes shops, gift shops and even a dry cleaners!

Epidavros offers a wealth of tavernas, bars and traditional fast food outlets (no Mcdonalds). Posidon and Mikes on the harbour have fantastic views and excellent food.

At Perivoli (on the right on the main road into the village) sit amongst orange trees, and enjoy Georgias excellent home cooked food.

At the end of the port, visit Agrogiali typically Greek – sit under vines, eat excellent fish, but a little more expensive than most other tavernas in the village.

Blue, Christinas and Aktis on the port all provide snacks and drinks from early morning to early morning! Great places for late night caps.
